Dawn Roppe, MS
School Psychologist
I grew up right here on the Iron Range and am a 1992 Graduate of Cherry High School.  I received an Associate in Arts Degree from Mesabi Community College in 1993.  I then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Superior, where I went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology in 1995.  I then remained at UWS and completed the Graduate Program in School Psychology where I obtained the equivalency of an Educational Specialist Degree.  I began my career, as a School Psychologist, in 1997 working in South Carolina. In 1999, I moved back to Minnesota to work in the Slayton-Fulda School Districts for two years (SW MN).  I missed the lakes and trees of Northern MN so I moved to Bemidji where I served mainly Middle School and High School students with a secondary role as an Autism Consultant after earning a Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders through the University of North Dakota. Life circumstances brought me back to the Iron Range where I have worked here at the Northland Learning Center since 2009.

In my spare time I am a hockey mom, baseball mom, and soccer mom to my 8 year old daughter and 10 year old son. My hobbies include reading, knitting, and supporting live original music here on the Iron Range.

I love my career as a School Psychologist and enjoy providing services to students and families in our small, close-knit communities here in Northern MN!
